Interlude Seven

Please and thank you

Wherein Sark and Sydney celebrate getting their house

She wasn’t certain where they were going but she let Julian drag her down the alleyway after him.  He took a few random turns and finally peered into the window of a house.  She curiously glanced into, but only briefly before she was hauled after Julian once more, the room had looked empty.  He turned behind the house and went through a door in a shoulder high, solid enclosure around the back of the house.

“Julian!” she hissed at him, peering into the windows back here, “Someone could live here!”

“It appears quite empty,” he was shucking off his pack and hers which he had been carrying for her.

She stepped up to the window and looked through; it did look like it had been empty for some time.  She turned back around in time for him to slam her up against the wall as he ground against her and his tongue plundered her mouth.

Groaning into his mouth she forgot all about whether the house was lived in or not.

*~*~*

As they leaned against the wall he tipped his head to rub his nose against hers causing her to laughed.  He leaned one forearm against the wall next to her head and lifted his other hand to brush his knuckles over her cheek, “I’ll consider myself duly thanked for buying you your house.”

She leaned into his caress and grinned mischievously, “Our house, and that was just a thank you for talking him into selling it to us.  I’ll have to thank you again later when you use your money to actually pay for it.”

He grinned rakishly at her, “I’ll remember that and it’s your money now too.  You’ll have to take time off from your job to come with me sometime in the next thirty days to pay him.”

She stroked a stray strand of hair off his forehead, “I think I can work that into my schedule.”

He leaned in to nuzzle her ear, “Then we can properly celebrate our new acquisition.”

She lingeringly kissed him before pushing him away, “We should head back to the market before they miss us.”
